Woodbine Harness: Horses To Watch for March 15 - March 19

Ken Walters|Mar 21, 2012

Thursday, March 15

ARTIST LIST (CLMHCP12/15000) Gapped along to the lane, hit best stride much too late but whizzed by all but the winner to complete the Zeron exacta. Perhaps he tops the exacta next time--if roused sooner.

LUCKY BOOT CAM (NW1FM) Was the challenging long shot in three horse stretch duel to the finish. Missed only a nose to dead heat winners and earns another look hoping for better racing luck.

CIMERONKEN (NW1) Challenged the even money favorite the last quarter, refused to go away but could not go by. Should be able to find the winner's circle soon.

MACHLEEN (NW2FM) was parked to the lead, battled the middle half, put away the challenger, dug in but the tripped out second over odds on favorite was too much in the last steps. Speedy enough and game enough to earn a win soon.

CANACO RUNNER (CLM10000) Left, tucked, pulled, brush, yielded, pulled again to challenge at the third panel but being asked the third time was enough to get this favorite beaten. Do not ignore in next race or two.

Friday, March 16

STACKED DECK (NW8000FM) Beaten favorite closed fastest from a distant third over but had too much ground to make up.

JAMIE SUE (NW3FM) Closed well from second over behind poor cover to be second to well bet winning favorite and earns a look in next race or two.

CACTUS JACK (CLMHCP20/25000) Second best on the board, he hit his quick stepping best too late to nail the favorite but cannot be overlooked.

CAROLINES CULLEN N (NW5000FM) Gamed out a win after a long uncovered journey in last in a quick mile. Can take another with any kind of decent trip.

Saturday, March 17

B LO ZERO (NW14000) Finished full of pace to win going away and can be along in time again with any racing luck.

WINDSONG GEANT (OPEN) Dug gamely trying to wire but the prohibitive favorite got to him in the late stages. None of the others were close enough to matter.

ROLLEM UP (NW4) Closed well to be third as the top two got away.

LEXIS NOAH (NW132000) Wired them in the fog (it appeared) in game style and might be able to do it again.

Monday, March 19

MARINER SEELSTER (NW1) Charged home quickly but a step or two late to narrowly miss in last.

ROCK ON MORE (NW3) Rushed to the lead from post 10, yielded to a third panel brusher, rallied gamely in the lane to get back for second but was second best to a fast closing winner.

MILLIONDOLLARTOUCH (CLM10000) Exploded through the lane rallying from the edge of nowhere in fast paced race and can do it again.

ROCK SOLID (CLMHCP20/25000) Dropped and popped in last as the favorite. Won going away and has the ability to cop another perhaps at a better price.
