Woodbine Harness: Horses to watch from Mar. 8 - Mar. 12

Ken Walters|Mar 14, 2018

Thursday, March 8

OK ICEMAN (CLMHCP15/18000) set the pace under pressure all the way, shook it off, pulled away but staggered late. Should have an easier time of it in next race or two.

LISVINNIE (CLMHCP8/10000) had a tough trip two back and tired. Hit his best stride late in last and ran out of track. Veteran should get it done.

GLENCOVE ZANI (CLMHCP12/150000 finished full of trot from far back in last and earns a long look in next.

ASPECIAL PRESENCE (NW1FM) Had a long way to come in last from 4th over and nearly got it done at 23-1.

Friday, March 9

BETTOR BB (NW1) yielded twice, sat pocket and was a game winner only to be taken down for interference.

STORMY CASH (NW1) went to the top, had tight quarters to the half as the field bunched during lead changes, got shuffled, had more traffic through the lane.

XPERT BAYAMA (NW3) went to the top, yielded, sat pocket in tight quarters with clearance too late to show his best.

MYSTICAL MISSION (NW3000) was used hard in valiant parked the mile game closing score.

Saturday, March 10

RESISTANCE FUTILE (NW15000) finished full of pace rallying through traffic between horses from 3rd over and can take another.

STELLENBOSCH (NW3000FM) was tight in the pocket, found room late and nailed. Lukewarm betting favorite would be no surprise seeking repeat.

JUSTABIT MEAN (NW3000FM) finished fastest of all from far back and just missed.

ISITFRIDAYYET (NW7) was parked a long way to the lead and went down the road for handy score on a night when speed was faltering.

Monday, March 12

ROCKABELLA (CLMHCP8/10000) came wide and closed stoutly through the lane.

MAJOR LEGACY (NW2600) seemed hopelessly buried heading home but found room and closed a ton.

NATURAL KEMP (CLMHCP20/25000) favorite came wide from 2nd over and crushed it through the lane. Should be able to take another.

BIG RICH (PRF) went to the top, yielded, sat pocket in stretch traffic. Can get there with some racing luck.

CINNABAR DRAGON (CLMHCP20/25000) was nearly 50-1 in last and nowhere to be found but closed fast and got up for second earning a long look in next outing.
