Woodbine Harness: Horses to watch from Mar. 30 - Apr. 3

Ken Walters|Apr 05, 2017

Thursday, March 30

WIN THE DAY (CLMHCP12/15000) tucked early, pulled passing the half, came strongly uncovered and proved to be much the best.

WESLYNN DANCER (NW2) followed wide and chased the odds-on favorite home but was a neck short.

HIDDEN POTENTIAL (NW2500) left to command, set the pace and tired to lose by just a bit and can get it done if a bit tighter.

OLIVIAS WAY (CLMHCP8/10000FM) charged home with huge wide rally and should take another.

Friday, March 31

HETTIES COMMANDER (NW4100) broke early, took back, rallied strong, followed wide and finished full of trot and earns a look in next race or two.

TEMPUS SEELSTER (NW5FM) closed with good pace from third over on a night when speed ruled and can score over a more favorable track.

WANDA BAYAMA (NW15500FM) closed from an impossible spot at 14-1 but was second best to the three-move pocket-sitting favorite.

OUR HOT MAJORETTE (NW6000FM) had good cover and proved to be a game 3rd in the last steps.

Saturday, April 1

REQUEST FOR PAROLE (PRF FM) put in a strong last panel from third over in last and has to be respected.

J EAGLE FEATHER (NW15500) wired the field holding strongly as the pocket-sitting favorite could not dent the margin when it counted.

ROSE RUN RUDI (NW3) drew away going to the third panel and was an impressive winner in last outing.

COOL ROCK (NW10100) was a game 2nd rallying from off the pace in last and is always a threat.

Monday, April 3

IN SPADES (NW1) took the top, yielded and retook, yielded again, chased uncovered, tucked the pocket in the final turn and rallied gamely in tough effort.

EXEMPLAR (NW13000) went to the lead, rolled along andwas second best to the odds-on favorite's late rush.

DINNER AT THE MET (CLMHCP20/30000) came wide around cover and closed hugely in a stunning :25 4/5 last panel. Well connected vet will score again.

FINISH LINE (PRF) left, tucked, followed the winner's cover and chased him home second best both on the track and on the board.
