Woodbine Harness: Horses to watch from Mar. 2 - Mar. 6
Thursday, March 2
LOTUS SEELSTER (NW1FM) rushed up uncovered, challenged the odds-on favorite, loomed passing the third panel but tired. Can get it done with better timed move or facing weaker.
LITTLE QUICK (CLM8000) was far back and 5th over heading home, closed well but had too much ground to make up.
EVASIVE CARD SHARK (NW2500) crushed foes on front end and should be able to beat better.
BUGATTI (NW2) was parked forever, challenged hard, had aim but the trip was much too much to overcome.
Friday, March 3
BET YA (NW3300FM) made a bold brush to command, opened up a few but tired and lost it in the last steps.
SANDBETWEENURTOES (PRF/FM) put in a strong down the road effort but the beaten favorite was nailed late. Should atone in next over a more favorable track.
I DEAL IN KISSES (NW5FM) rushed up uncovered to the third call, rallied to the lane but unable to hold the lead.
JUSTICE JET (NW4000) followed wide from the back and just missed.
Saturday, March 4
HIGHLANDBEACHYCOVE (NW14000) sat in but was badly buried by the third panel, cleared heading home and closed strong but the winner was long gone.
P L JILL (NW3) left wide, raced wide, challenged hard, never cleared, dug in gamely while tiring and the beaten favorite should do better in next.
RESISTANCE FUTILE (NW2000) finished full of pace from an impossible spot and just missed.
TRACEUR HANOVER (NW9000) left, tucked, pulled, brushed and crushed and should be hard to beat in next.
Monday, March 6
CRANKIN IT UP (CLMHCP15/18000) rushed to the top, faced pressure, shrugged it off and drew off.
GILLYS BOY (NW1) stumbled and broke moving to challenge, recovered, challenged through the lane, got in tight and appeared to lock wheels.
UTOPIA (NW24000) went to the lead, yielded, sat pocket and was locked in most of the lane.
BIG RICH (NW13000) saved to the lane, got shuffled, tipped, closed strong but too late.
