THE DOWNTOWN BUS (NW2) came wide from downtown and got up for second losing only to the odds-on favorite.

ABOUT A BOY (NW3) put in a very credible effort in latest coming uncovered to challenge the favorite but could not get there.

BEACHIN LINDY (NW2) tucked, let the pace settle, pulled, brushed and jogged.

ODDS ON AMETHYST (PRF) made a long early move to the lead, set a good clip but weakened mid lane over a tiring track. Beaten favorite can atone in quick order.

CASIMIR OVERDRIVE (CLMHCP8/10000) was a wire to wire winner under long pressure and earns some respect when he seeks another win.

NORTHERN STORMONT (NW15500) rolled along a quick clip and was much the best.

MCDAVE (NW2900) beaten favorite was nowhere to be seen until the final quarter as he closed a ton to miss less than a lenghth.
