Woodbine Harness: Horses to watch from Jan. 7 - Jan. 11

Ken Walters|Jan 13, 2016

Thursday, January 7

AMITYVILLE LINDY (NW2) closed strong from far back passing tons of foes but it was too much to ask.

CAMPS BAY (NW2FM) mare roared home from the bck of the pack and should be dangerous nest time out.

AMAZING CONTROL (BLIZZARD) jogged in first leg action with front stepping romp.

KILMER ROAD (NW1) brushed to command past the half, opened up a big lead and held safe while tiring a bit. Should be hard to beat in next.

Friday, January 8

ROCKY DE VIE (NW3500) beaten favorite brushed to command, opened up, could not last. Should be tighter in next.

MEGO MOSS (NW3500) rushed up uncovered at 28-1, challenged the prohibitive favorite but was second best.

WHISTYS PARADISE (NW3500FM) took the lead, yielded and got shuffled, tipped heading home with good rally but was a step too late.

CALL IT COURAGE (NW3500FM) tucked, pulled when the speed settled, brushed to the top, set a good clip and tired at 11-1. Tighter in next and a win is coming soon.

J HIGH (NW3500FM) went down the road and drew off strongly in front-stepping jogburger.

Saturday, January 9

RISE UP NOW (PRF) was second over to the lane, tipped wide, took too much time to get going but once into gear hit his best stride, kept coming and just missed in game effort.

MONEZUMA BLUECHIP (NW2) was on the rail in a bunch of traffic. Should be able to get his revenge if he finds earlier clearance.

KISS ME OR NOT (NW10000FM) left well to the top, yielded and was shuffled, got caught in traffic, cleared late, had aim but was outkicked. Can get it done in next outing or two.

JULERICA (NW3) had the late foot needed but was once more too far back when he launched his stretch bid.

Monday, January 11

VELOCITY HEADLIGHT (CM8000) was parked grinding to the lead to catch the speedy early leader, collared him, passed him, put him away and held with authority on a night when speed was tiring in the lane.

BURNIN MONEY (NW29000) veteran put in a courageous front stepping effort and held to the last stride losing to the favored pocketsitter.

DOMEDOMEDOME (LIFETIME) wired the field and was a wrapped up winner in her division of first round action.

CHICAGO HANOVER (CLMHCP15/20000) beaten favorite brushed to the lead, set a good clip and was outkicked by the fresher second over winner.
