Woodbine Harness: Horses to watch from Jan. 21 - Jan. 25

Ken Walters|Jan 27, 2016

Thursday, January 21

DOCS DIVA (NW1FM) broke before the start, took far back, rallied steadily, gained cover in the final turn and closed gamely chasing the favorite through the lane.

WIZARD OF OSNEY (CLM15000) sat pocket, got shuffled, pulled in the final turn, rallied to the leader and cruised by.

BIG BANG BOOM (NW2) was parked a long way to the lead, opened up a couple but tired.

VEGILANTE HANOVER (CLM10000) grinded up uncovered from the back of the pack and closed gamely just missing the whole pie by a couple of heads.

VICS ROYAL LADY (NW2) was a very game three-move winner and earns respect.

Friday, January 22

JEREMYS JEWEL (NW3200FM) buried on the rail, she wove through traffic with strong finish but ran out of track.

BETIT TO GETIT (PRFFM) was parked to the lead, never looked back and held strong with some early stretch reminders.

REGALLY READY (NW10000FM) finished strong, won going away and will be tough to deny in next.

MEGO MOSS (NW3500) broke at the start in last but recovered well and was moving best of all in the late stages. Beaten favorite need only stay flat to earn redemption.

Saturday, January 23

TOTAL LEE (NW18000FM) rallied gamely uncovered to be second best to the front steping odds-on favorite.

GUILTYWITHANEXCUSE (CLMHCP12/15000) tucked, sat in, angled out late and closed strong. Beaten favorite could atone immediately.

COOL ROCK (NW17500) hit his best stride too late with rally from third over.

MACH CODE (NW2) was wide in the final turn, closed well but it was a bit much to ask.

Monday, January 25

HLDONTGHTTOYURDRMS (NW17500) put in a strong uncovered effort in last before tiring and has to be considered.

TIGHTEN UP (NW3000) closed strongly but was outkicked by the fast footed wakeup winner.

DOMEDOMEDOME (LIFETIME DREAM) won as much the best in the final which is what she was.

FOREVER JUST (NW4500) was out a long way. Beaten favorite had all the worst of it putting in a brutal uncovered effort and can turn it around in no time.

AFFLECK (CLM8000) was parked for life, challenged hard, had aim but tired.
