Woodbine Harness: Horses to watch from Jan. 19 - Jan. 23

Ken Walters|Jan 25, 2017

Thursday, January 19

ROCKIN THE HOUSE (CLM8000) took the lead, yielded, retook and faced pressure the last turn, dug in gamely and could be heard from again.

CHEYENNE FORD (CKN8000) closed a ton from far far back and can be hard to hold off with better trip.

GROUPIE DOLL (NW2) took the top, yielded and retook and went down the road strongly.

SMALLTOWN TERROR (NW2500) came from the moon to win going away and looms as strong repeat factor.

Friday, January 20

ACEFOURTYFOUR ALEX (NW3FM) closed strong but too late in last at nearly 37-1.

BURNIN MONEY (NW9000) brushed and crushed in last and can repeat.

GREYSTONE LADYLIKE (NW10000FM) finished with strong pace in last but had too far to come.

ELDORADO OF GOLD S (NW4000) rolled home with powerful rally and will be hard to beat in next.

Saturday, January 21

LONEWOLF CURRIER (CLMHCP20/25000) rallied gamely uncovered to be second best just missing at the wire.

HALF A BILLION (NW9000) sat to the lane, angled out late and finished strong. Give him a good look in next.

SANDBETWEENURTOES (PRF FM) left, tucked, let the speed settle, brushed to the lead and never looked back.

VELOCITY DRIVEN (NW20000) left, tucked, slipped wide in the stretch and finished gamely but ran out of track.

Monday, January 23

REDONKULOUS (NW3) finished well from far back and is a threat in next.

MR MATCH ON BEACH (NW2) yielded to an early challenger but got the lead back when the speed bore out. Set a pressed last quarter and gamed out the win.

WINDSON MAGIC (NW4) set a good clip and won impressively over a speed tiring track.

WEATHERLY (NW4000) went down the road as second choice and was nailed by the pocket sitting favorite.
