Woodbine Harness: Horses to watch from Jan. 12 - Jan. 17

Ken Walters|Jan 18, 2015

Monday, January 12

AMBLE OVER HANOVER (NW2000) brushed to command, set his own pace and was wrapped up to the wire leaving plenty for next outing.

LITTLE QUICK (CLMHCP8/10000) was more than a little quick as he roared home to win going away in last.

STANDING MY GROUND (NW15000) tried to the end but the winner was just too tough for her in the late stages. She find a field to her liking soon.

SMARTY PANTS (NW8000) had good trot at the start, got shuffled, rallied late with good gameness between horses. Should be able to nail the win soon.

FEARLESS MAN (NW27000) yielded and retook twice after leaving to the lead, met pressure the third panel, shook it off and proved gamest and best to ward off the late effort of the pocket-sitting favorite.

Thursday, January 15

STEPHANA DREAM (NW2) closed well from far back in last and earns look in next.

IM A CANADIAN EH (NW1FM) had too far to come in last but finished well enough at 30-1 to indicate she has a win coming soon.

STUARTS DYNASTY (NW2) beaten favorite was nipped on the wire in last with the rest of the field far back. Can atone so do not disregard.

ONYOURMARKNATAVA (BLIZZARD) beaten favorite 2nd leg action was the victim of a poor outer flow in last.

DEUCES FOR CHARITY (BLIZZARD) wired the field in game effort being pressed twice en route to her game score.

Friday, January 16

TOTAL LEE (NW3FM) yielded the lead twice and was shuffled back, cleared inside heading home and came on like gangbusters.

WALK THE PLANK (NW2) finished gamely from second over but was outfinished by the short priced favorite.

MISS POPPYCOCK (NW3000) finished powerfully from the back of the pack in impressive win and could take another.

BACK YARD BABY (NW3000FM) beaten favorite put in a good effort but was outkicked by the fleet footed closing winner.

Saturday, January 17

SI SEMALU (NW4) sat on the rail, rallied gamely between horses through the lane in tight quarters.

NICKLE BAG (PRFHCP) was parked the mile in last, challenged all the way and wore down the leader only to be outkicked by the tripped out pocketsitting favorite.

GEAR BOX (NW3) beaten favorite was in the pocket but got shuffled heading home, rallied gamely inside but a step or two late.

DINNER AT THE MET (CLMHCP) sat buried to the lane, had pace in tight quarters and would have been better than sixth.

OUR MOJO (NW8000) was victimized by a bad shuffled going to the third panl, rallied well between horses but was free too late to fire best shot.
