Woodbine Harness: Horses to watch from February 21 - Febuary 24

Ken Walters|Feb 27, 2014

Friday, February 21

LANESIDE LEXUS (NW11000FM) Stormed home with authority from far back in last and looms as a repeat winner.

GREYSTONE LADYLIKE (NW4000FM) Finished with a flurry from an impossible spot in most recent and can get it done with a better trip.

OAKLEA VICTOR (NW2) Retook the lead, jogged away, had what appeared to be an unbeatable marging heading home but hit a wall. Beaten favorite can atone in next.

D GS PESQUERO (NW3FM) Proved to be a game winner in three-move victory last time around the oval and may only need two moves to win next.

Saturday, February 22

HES A SENSATION (NW2) Gave it a good try in a horrible trip. Parked all the way, he ranged up uncovered, challenged the final turn and tired late.

NICKLE BAG (NW3) Had too much traffic through the lane to give a good account of himself and has to be watched in next race or two.

ORDER BY COMMANDER (NW3) Was parked to the lead and hounded every step of the way. Beaten favorite suffered the effects of the `wore down blues' and gave way late.

COOL ROCK (NW10000) Finally got it done closing a ton in last. Don't ignore in next because the price might be a surprise if he revs up again.

BOOGIE WOOGIE (NW6000) Came from the clouds in last to just miss at 24-1 and need only repeat the effort to nail most this kind.

Monday, February 24

ROYAL RECEPTION (NW1) Left well, found a tuck, pulled to the half, came uncovered, challenged to the stretch, tired. Should be tighter in next race and a win is a distinct possibility.

COBBLE BEACH (CLM20000) Finished with a full head of steam despite some stretch traffic and a costly stumble in the late stages.

MR BIG HEAD (CLM8000) Surprised in last going down the road at 32-1. Next will be no surprise.

JDS CALEB MAN (CLMHCP10/12000) Charged home a few steps too late in last and should be closer when he unleashes his bid in next outing.
