Woodbine Harness: Horses To Watch for February 21 - February 25

Ken Walters|Feb 28, 2013

Thursday, February 21

NATURAL WOMAN N (CLMHCP10/12000FM) Sat in the pocket, too tight to launch her best bid. She cleared too late and was more than more than willing.

STRAWBERRY WINE (NW2) Set a pressed pace over a tiring track at 9-1 and was only nailed on the inside by the game rally of the favorite.

CARDINAL ZIN (CLM10000) Beaten favorite had too far to come in last but finished well.

LIMITLESS (NW8250) Went down the road as far as he could over the tiring track at 19-1 and was nailed on the wire by the determined favorite.

Friday, February 22

RATE EXCHANGE (CLMHCP12/15000) Rallied stoutly to gobble up ground in game victory over speed favoring track and should take another.

CANT STOP ROCKIN (NW5650FM) Rallied in tight quarters but was forced to take up with much better finish in her sights.

BEST EARS (CLMHCP15/20000) Rallied gamely from third over to get for second.

JUSTASMALLTOWNGIRL (NW2) Closed well but too late from second over in last and earns a closer look than 8-1 in next outing.

Saturday, February 23

MEGO MOSS (NW3) Finished with a full head of steam through the stretch but came up one neck too short in the rally.

DONAU (NW3)Chased the short priced winner home with good speed and proved second best at 14-1.

PROTEGE SEELSTER (NW8000) Passed a bunch of horses in the lane the favorite was too much the best to get to him.

TWIN B IMPRESSIVE (NW14000) Was a very busy second best in last after leaving for a tuck, pulling and brushing to the lead, yielding for the pocket and stalking the favorite to the wire in most recent outing.

Monday, February 25

ZEUS LIGHTNING (PRF) Chased uncovered with strong trot but missed by a neck in latest outing.

BEACH MACH (NW2) Showed good speed on the back end but was too far behind when he made his move.

CHUCKALO CADEN (NW14000) Was buried to the lane at 52-1, tipped, angled, hit the pedal, acclerated quickly but it was too late.

LOST IN PANSLATION (CLMHCP8/10000) Should be along in time in next race or two if last effort was any indication.
