Woodbine Harness: Horses to watch from Feb. 8 - Feb. 12

Ken Walters|Feb 14, 2018

Thursday, February 8

GERARDO (NW1) wired the field from the 10-hole in impressive outing.

COWBOYS DONT CRY (CLMHCP15/18000) finished wide, late and strong to miss by a neck and should nail it soon.

ROUGH TRADE (CLMHCP15/18000) tucked early, pulled to the half, went wide, cleared, challenged a long way and proved very game in upset score.

UNDRAFTED (NW3) was buried to the lane, swung clear late and closed strong but just missed.

Friday, February 9

ART ANGEL BABY (NW10000FM) was buried the lane, wiggled through traffic with game finish but too late. Beaten favorite can atone in quick order.

BETTIM JACKIE (NW3 FM) left to the lead, got a wicked shuffle, found room inside, rallied strong but had lost her chance.

P L HURRICANE (PRF/FM) put in a game uncovered bid at 10-1 putting away the pacesetting favorite but was necked by the tripped-out second choice.

WINDSONGMAGNIFIQUE (CLMHCP15/20000FM) left, tucked, got shuffled, sat in heavy traffic through the lane and deserved a better fate.

Saturday, February 10

ROCKIN IN HEAVEN (NW9000) beaten favorite left to the top, yielded, got shuffled and closed well but too late.

LEXUS ROCKY (CLMHCP20/25000) left, settled for the three hole, got a bad shuffle behind a quitting horse, finished with good trot once free.

BUTTERMILK HANOVER (NW15000FM) was a long time wide to the third panel and into the lane. Beaten favorite had to go around bad cover and had too much ground to make up.

CUE HALL (NW6000) came uncovered and won going away. Well bet favorite can take another.

SMOKE MONKEY (NW6000) deserved a better fate but had traffic everywhere through the lane in most recent.

Monday, February 12

CRESURREY (NW4) took the lead, yielded, sat pocket and cleared too late to give his best shot.

ROCKABELLA (CLMHCP12/15000) closed with good energy rallying off poor cover.

ESTRUSCAN HANOVER (NW12000) tucked early, pulled and brushed and won handily.

CLEVER THING (CLMHCP8/10000) was third over in a poor flow but finished with good pace.
