Woodbine Harness: Horses to watch from Feb. 18 - Feb. 22

Ken Walters|Feb 24, 2016

Thursday, February 18

LADY SANTANNA (CLM10000FM) beaten favorite was parked the mile, challenged hard and had aim but tired. Should atone in quick order.

CROWNINGCREST (CLM15000) had to clear poor cover in the final turn, rallied to chase the favorite home in good but second best effort.

PRINCESS DIAMOND (NW2) finished full of pace in most recent outing.

YOURE MY HERO (CLM10000) left, yielded and retook, went down the road drawing away. Should take another.

Friday, February 19

JORDIES HOPE (NW10000FM) rushed up uncovered, challenged the pacesetting favorite and was proven second best.

DIANNA SANTANNA (NW6000FM) rallied well between horses with a chance for more and the hole closing in the late stages forcing her to take up.

ELDORADO OF GOLD S (NW2) tucked early, pulled to the half, went wide to clear dead cover, challenged the pace to the lane and tired. A better trip could put some gold in your pocket.

MS MAC N CHEESE (NW26000FM) sat pocket and could not clear, angled out clearing too late but finished with good pace.

Saturday, February 20

WIZARD OF OSNEY (NW3) was looped off the gate and parked to the lead, set a good clip and dug in but was second best to the late closing favorite.

GRIN FOR MONEY (NW7500) finsihed full of pace from a far away place and earns look in next outing.

MOHAWK WARRIOR (NW17500) looked like he wanted to leave but was taken back, came out 4th over in the final turn but ducked in for the drive with strong finish up the rail albeit too late. Beaten favorite can atone in next.

ERLE DALE N (PRF) had pace in the lane but too much traffic to clear.

STIMULUS SPENDING (CLM25000) was in a bad blindswitch the quarter and locked wheels with a tiring horse. Deserved a better fate and should be hard to deal with next time out.

Monday, February 22

GIRL DRAMA (CLMHCP12/15000) followed the winner and chased her home second best.

ONE WARRAWEE (CLMHCP20/35000) was in for the 20G in last, came uncovered, chased, challenged but was bested by the speed and the pocket horse. Got claimed and could come back ready to pay immediate dividends in right field.

PISCEAN (NW2) set her own clip and was outfinished by the slightly favored pocket horse. Well bet second choice was tons best than rest of the field.

INTENDED STYLE (CLMHCP10/15000) sat pocket to tiring speed, tipped, went wide around dead cover and had aim but was outkicked on the wire. Beaten favorite can get it done with slightly better trip.

HIT AND GIGGLE A (NW4100) battled hard with stubborn speed as he challenged uncovered a long way. Finished gamely but was nailed by the fresher legs of the winner.
