Woodbine Harness: Horses to watch from December 26 - December 28

Ken Walters|Jan 01, 2014

Thursday, December 26

EXCUSE ME PLEASE (CLM12000) Left from the 10-hole to the top, met pressure twice along the way, held gamely but was nailed by the favorite.

PEPPERMINT PATTI (NW1/2-3YOF) Showed strong late speed closing smartly along the rail in last and has to be respected.

MUSCLE ON BROADWAY (NW2) Grabbed the top, yielded and was shuffled, had to navigate through traffic in the lane finishing with good speed.

IGOTTOKEEPONMOVING (NW5000) Had a ton of trot weaving through stretch traffic in last and earns a long look in next.

WINBAK ELLA (NW2/2-3YOF) Got herself buried on the rail, had willing pace in ultra-tight quarters through the lane, ran up the back of a foe and stumbled, cleared too late to launch her best bid.

Friday, December 27

OAKLEA VICTOR (NW2) Beaten favorite was forced to move wide too soon in last and flattened out by early stretch.

JENNA CASIMIR (NW6350FM) Went a long way to gain the lead, set a good clip and dug in gamely only to be passed by the favorite in the lane. Second best in here but best in next?

CHAT CHAT (NW8000) Trotter sat in to the lane, tipped, found a lane and rushed home with speed to spare for next.

WHATA DONATO (NW2) Chased the speedy winner home second best to the wire and on the board.

GENESEE (CLMHCP20/30000) Closed powerfully in last to win going away and should be along in time for another score next time out.

Saturday, December 28

NOWUCIT NOWUDONT (NW28000) Left to quick lead, met pressure from turn one to the half, put the challenger away but faced another challenge immediately, battled stubbornly to the lane, dug in, tired and broke. Beaten favorite could have an easier time of it in next.

MAGIC WILL WORK (NW3) Took the top, yielded, retook, set a pressed pace and held gamely to the last step losing to a fresher foe.

STOMPIN TOM CREEK (NW6100) Had much too far to come in last but was pacing sstrongest at the wire.

DRAIN DADDY (NW8000) Got shuffled out behind a dead piece in last but tipped heading home and was pacing up a storm through the lane.
