Woodbine Harness: Horses To Watch for Apr. 12 - Apr. 16

Ken Walters|Apr 18, 2012

Thursday, April 12

COE LEADER (NW1) Went down the road an easy winner in last and seems to be capable of repeat.

MCBUNNY (NW1FM) Rushed home with good pace in last chasing a well bet winner and can find her own field in near future.

SHADYS M THREE (NW2FM) Sat in the pocket pacing steadily with no place to go and just missed by 1 1/2 lengths.

JUSLUCKY BOBBI J (CLM10000FM) Left wide, took back turn one, tucked, came out to the third panel, rushed up, challenged and proved gamest versus two favorites.

Friday, April 13

DOLCE DUCCI (CLMHCP12/15000) Left, got parked, rated early, ranged up to the half, prompted the pace to the third panel and tired in tough luck effort.

KEYSTONE JUBILEE (NW5000FM)Angled out heading home and stormed home from an impossible spot. Missed by less than one and deserves a look next time out.

MODERN CONNECTION (OPENFM) Rallied gamely the last quarter easily fastest of all and would be tough to deny with a live trip.

MARTHA MAXINE (CLMHCP20/30000) Was used hard to the lead, faced pressure the last quarter, dug in but tired. This beaten favorite can atone in next.

Saturday, April 14

MARGARITA MAN (NW8000) Had the worst of it throughout in last. Left well to the lead, yielded, got shuffled back, pulled with cover into the final turn, lost it, continued gamely and earns a long look in next.

QUATAR BAYAMA (NW8000) Finished full of trot in last from back of the pack and the beaten favorite should score in next race or two.

FIRE ON THE WATER (NW14000) Rallied gamely to earn second best in most recent and can find a beatable field at any time.

SOUTHWIND TURBO (NW8000) Left, tucked, pulled as the speed settled, brushed to the top, opened up and was well wrapped up through the lane. Facing better should be no real problem.

Monday, April 16

WESTERN BANDIT (NW2) Followed wide into the stretch, closed well into a slow mile and game out a third place finish. Better trip, better pace equals better result.

MARINER SEELSTER (NW1) Proved game between horses escaping a tight pocket in the late stages but was outkicked by the favored winner. Have to like his chances in near future.

SAFE HARBOR (NW3) Sat pocket in slow mile and won easily going away. Should be able to make presence felt again.

JO WILLY (NW1) Chased the well bet favored winner home in quick mile last time and should score next race or two.
