Race 1
(2) AWOL HANOVER chased a strong winner that no one was catching last week and he held in there decently, considering he had missed three weeks. I'll give him the nod here returning quicker. (6) HEAD TURNING JAG closed well into an accelerating late pace and Henry is a good partner for him. (8) MOONSTAR MISSION gets a positive driver change here, but the gaps between his races raise a concern. (3) MUSCLE HIGH is consistently around the money and this race should be no different.
Race 2
(5) AMERICAN CHEER was a big winner in this class at Mohawk and she looks good to take a third straight win here. (6) P L KAHLUAA and (7) V STRING have similar profiles in terms of missing some time between their last starts and now returning quicker. I will use both in the Pick 5. (4) MISTY DE VIE should be closing for a piece, as usual.
Race 3
(6) YOU SHOULD BE HERE raced tough first-over last week only to be nailed by a rival that escaped late in the mile and was loaded with pace. I'm not sure what to make of the barn change here, but I'll give her a slight nod. (2) SNAPPY DRESSER faces easier here and she can threaten these if she leaves a bit better. (3) CHICKIE LOVE gets a second start in the Marfisi barn and I expect improvement here. (8) TRAFFIC JAM can pass many of these late, but it's hard to predict that she will be in position to win leaving from post 8.
Race 4
(6) MAXIM SEELSTER couldn't quite reach the game Kiwi Focus last time, but she is sharp and capable of taking these. (3) STONEBRIDGE FOCUS goes for Budd off the claim which makes her an automatic multi-race use for me. (2) GIA DIAMOND comes up tagged here and she should be tough racing at this level. (7) BUTTERMILK HANOVER is sharp as a tack and she has won here before. She is another to consider for the Pick 4 and Pick 5 in a contentious dash.
Race 5
(10) ST JAMES GATE left hard, took a tuck, then stayed buried last week. He may be able to get into the flow from out there and he should be a big price. I'll stab here. (2) FLYING ISA N escaped just in time to get up for the win and he should contend here. (5) ESCUELA is getting sharper and closer each week. She can win this of the pace slows late in the mile. (7) JUSTASMALLTOWNGIRL steps up off a loss, but she is sharp and she can share here.
Race 6
(2) LAY LADY LAY drops and gets Henry, who should provide the aggressive steer she needs; top call and Pick 4 single. (4) WANDA BAYAMA gets a better post here and she will be an exacta factor. (6) LIGHTS GO OUT lit up the tote last week with hot teamster Hudon returning to the bike. He sticks here and she should share. (3) SHES LIGHTS OUT is in decent form. She can use a following trip to take a slice.
Race 7
(4) ITS HALLRIGHT was given an aggressive steer last time in this class and she was an easy winner. I'll stick with her. (3) ANOTHER CHAPTER wasn't far behind the choice despite having an adventurous trip last time. I'll use her in Pick 4s. (5) NORTHERN MAJOR steps up, but his last win was impressive and he should hit the ticket here. (2) WESMONT is another stepping up off a sharp win that is worth a look for the exotics.
Race 8
(2) MS MAC N CHEESE won one time in 19 tries this year before winning three straight, all with different drivers. She should be good for another coming off a win in which she took a new life's mark. (4) EXHILARATED can close late and complete the exacta again. (3) REQUEST FOR PAROLE races well here and she comes in off a sharp qualifier; using underneath. (5) WITCH DALI disappointed as chalk last week and I am inclined to play against her here.
Race 9
(7) NO PANIC comes back quicker and comes up tagged again. She should rebound with a better effort here. (2) THATGIRLISONFIRE was better in her second start for Moreau and she is the one to beat here. (3) SOUTHWIND ION ships in with sharp form and goes for a tag. I'll toss her in the late Pick 4. (8) JUST BLITZED merits a look going for trainer Johnson off the claim and she could be a big price.
Race 10
(4) FADING SHADOW was a powerful winner in this class last week and driver Hudon has been running hot; call to repeat. (2) BEACH GODDESS came from what looked like an impossible spot to win last time and she gets a better post here. She is hard to leave out. (7) MACH THE CUT is another that is capable here if she stays flat. (9) PARTY BEACH has a 26 1/5 kicker that jumps off the page, but, she moves to Woodbine here and draws poorly; mixed feelings on her. (8) DIAMONDTOOTHGERTIE is one of those that can pop at a big price at any time. I'll use her in a race that is full of possibilities.
