Woodbine Harness: $158,056 Jackpot Hi-Five Carryover on Thursday

The Jackpot Hi-5, which became a part of Woodbine's Standardbred nightly betting menu in October, currently offers a carryover pool of $158,056.60.

The next opportunity to cash a ticket on the popular bet is Thursday night, April 10. Post time is scheduled for 7:25 p.m.

The Jackpot Hi-5 requires horseplayers to select the first five finishers in exact order on the last race of the program. The Jackpot proviso means that the entire pool pays out only when there is one winning ticket sold that correctly selects the first five finishers in exact order.

The wager, which offers a 20-cent minimum, also has a takeout of 15 percent, a continent-equalling low.

If there is not just one winning ticket, half of the wagering pool is carried over and offered on the next racing card. The other half will be paid out in consolation payouts to those Jackpot Hi-5 tickets which have the correct order of finish. If there are no winners of the wager, the entire pool, minus takeout, carries over.
