Woodbine: Are You Serious gets stakes

Are You Serious ($23.50) notched his first stakes under a smart ride from Corey Fraser in the $142,125 Kennedy Road at Woodbine.

Are You Serious, one of three 3-year-olds in the 10-horse field, raced about three lengths off the lead while saving ground on the turn of the six-furlong dash. Fraser angled him into the four path early in the stretch, and they overhauled Bishop Court Hill at the 70-yard pole en route to a one-length win in a final time of 1:09.55 seconds.

Bishop Court Hill, after dueling with My Cousin Matt through fractions of 22 and 44.11 seconds, dead-heated for second with a closing Gangster. Favored High Blitz finished another neck back in fourth.
