ETOBICOKE, Ontario— Anne’s Beauty gave jockey Patrick Husbands his fifth win on Saturday’s Woodbine card when she convincingly took the Grade 3, $156,200 Ontario Colleen Stakes. Anne’s Beauty ($10.90) raced in third along the inside around the turn, as Mendocino Beano and Hoi An dueled through quick fractions in the one-mile turf route. Anne’s Beauty began to close the gap early in the stretch, and she blew by Mendocino Beano at the sixteenth pole before drawing clear to prevail by 1 1/4 lengths, in 1:33.70. Smart Sting rallied wide for second, and Mendocino Beano held third in the 11-horse field of 3-year-old fillies. It was the second consecutive stakes score for Anne’s Beauty, who also captured the July 30 Duchess here  over seven furlongs on the Polytrack. She collected $90,000 for owner Robert Smithen and trainer Paul Attard. “She’s very versatile,” said Attard. “She just gives everything she has, all the time. I didn’t prefer being on the rail, but knowing Patrick, he finds a way through.”
