Woodbine: 1-2-3 for Casse

Trainer Mark Casse swept the first three positions in Sunday's Grade 3, $162,000 Natalma Stakes, with Clearly Foxy, Nite in Rome, and Lickety Lemon.

Clearly Foxy assumed a three-wide stalking position early under Jono Jones, as Lacadena set splits of 23.59 and 47.52 seconds in the one-mile turf route for 2-year-old fillies. Clearly Foxy came down the center of the course in the stretch, and drew off in the final furlong to score by 3 1/2 lengths over 12-1 shot Nite in Rome.

Lickety Lemon, the 4-5 favorite, closed belatedly for third after a five-wide journey. The scratch of Casse's other entrant, Officer Cherrie, reduced the size of the field to 10.

"After the first few jumps, she relaxed perfectly," said Jones. "She's a lovely filly. Even galloping out, she never really got tired."

Clearly Foxy ($36.30) completed the distance in 1:36.12. She is unbeaten in two starts for owner Charles LaLoggia.
