Winx tops Longines Racehorse Rankings

Winx has ascended to the top of the latest Longines World’s Best Racehorse Rankings with a rating of 130, eclipsing retired Gun Runner, who is locked in at 129.

The latest rankings, assembled by an international racing officials panel under the auspices of the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities, saw Winx’s mark boosted from 129 on the strength of a 3 3/4-lengths victory over Gailo Chop in the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes, the remarkable mare’s 25th consecutive victory.

Third-highest rated at 125 is Cracksman, who launched his 4-year-old campaign with a decisive victory in the Group 1 Prix Ganay.

Joining his stablemate West Coast as the co-highest rated dirt horse in the world, and currently the highest-rated 3-year-old in the world, is Justify, whose rating rose to 124 after his victory in the Kentucky Derby.
