WinStar raises Bodemeister's fee to $40,000

Joe Nevills|Oct 19, 2017

WinStar Farm in Versailles, Ky., has released the advertised fees for its 2018 stallion roster, with the most dramatic rise in stud fee coming for Bodemeister, who sired Kentucky Derby winner Always Dreaming from his first crop.

Bodemeister, an 8-year-old son of Empire Maker, will stand for an advertised fee of $40,000 in 2018 after beginning the previous season at $25,000. Other runners of note by Bodemeister include Grade 2 winner American Anthem and stakes winners Kenda and O Dionysus.

Also standing for an increased fee in 2018 is Overanalyze, who climbs to $15,000 from $10,000. The Dixie Union horse’s first foals are 2-year-olds of 2017, and his debut crop has produced stakes winners Analyze This Jet, Analyze the Odds and Suzette, as well as Grade 1-placed Piedi Biancho and Grade 3-placed Psychoanalyze.
