WinStar launches Fantasy Derby Contest

WinStar Farm has launched its annual Fantasy Derby Contest, for which the grand prize is a pair of box seats to the 2014 Kentucky Derby.

The contest, part of the WinStar StableMates program, allows fans to select horses in different categories for a fantasy stable. Winners will be determined by the highest stable earnings through the contest period. Registration runs through noon on Feb. 1,

“This contest makes it really easy for fans to get interested in the Derby prep races, and get to know and follow the horses who are on the Derby watch lists,” WinStar President and CEO Elliott Walden said. “WinStar is committed to being a leader, not only on the track and in breeding, but in all efforts in lifting the profile of Thoroughbred racing, especially connecting with our great fans through WinStar StableMates. The contest is easy and fun to play, and the prizes we are offering should appeal to even the most casual racing fan.”

First prize for the contest is two box seats to the 2014 Kentucky Derby, and second prize is a pair of box seats for the 2014 Kentucky Oaks. Third prize is a halter worn by WinStar’s perennial leading sire Distorted Humor. All three of the prizewinners also receive a behind the scenes guided tour of WinStar, a WinStar gift basket, and a WinStar StableMates Grade 2 membership for the rest of 2014.
