Win Win Win won't race again until Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile

ELMONT, N.Y. – Win Win Win, dramatic winner of the Grade 1 Forego on Aug. 29 at Saratoga, will train up to the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile, trainer Michael Trombetta said Thursday.
Win Win Win rallied from as far as 16 lengths back to win the Forego by a half-length in the slop. Trombetta said that considering how hard Win Win Win worked, he doesn’t think running him again before the Breeders’ Cup is a good idea.
“I’m just worried he put it all out there for that race, the ground loss and all the work he had to put in to get it done,” Trombetta said.

Trombetta said the Kelso on Oct. 3 at Belmont “is on my radar, but that might be asking a little bit much.”
“I’d rather take my best shot at the Breeders Cup,” he said.
Trombetta said he is unlikely to nominate Win Win Win to the Breeders’ Cup Sprint at six furlongs.
“I just don’t see my guy doing three-quarters, I really don’t,” Trombetta said. “If the Forego was three-quarters, he’d probably have finished eighth.”
As a 3-year-old, Win Win Win finished second to Vekoma in the Grade 2 Blue Grass Stakes in his only start at Keeneland, host track of this year’s Breeders’ Cup.
