ARCADIA, Calif. – Win the Space, who placed in two Grade 1 races last year but was eased in the Breeders’ Cup Classic last November, has returned to trainer George Papaprodromou’s stable at Santa Anita.
Win the Space arrived last weekend and is expected to return to racing this spring.
“We gave him 60 days off,” Papaprodromou said.
Win the Space was eased in the final furlong of the BC Classic. He was second in the Grade 1 Gold Cup at Santa Anita last June and third behind California Chrome in the Grade 1 Awesome Again Stakes last October. Owned by KRetz Racing, Win the Space, 5, has won 3 of 15 starts and earned $292,572.
