Wilshire Stakes the plan for Raymundos Secret

ARCADIA, Calif. – Raymundos Secret, scratched from racing on Monday, will have her next start in the Grade 3 Wilshire Stakes for fillies and mares at a mile on June 20, the closing day of the winter-spring meeting.
Raymundos Secret was entered in two Grade 1 turf races worth $300,000 on Monday – the Gamely Stakes for fillies and mares and the Shoemaker Mile against males, but trainer Phil D’Amato said the $100,000 Wilshire Stakes is a more suitable race for her.

D’Amato also plans to start Leggs Galore in the Wilshire. Leggs Galore has won three stakes for California-bred fillies and mares this year, including the Fran’s Valentine Stakes at a mile on May 9. Monday, Leggs Galore worked a half-mile on the infield training track in 49.20 seconds.
Leggs Galore is nominated for the Grade 2 Monrovia Stakes on Saturday, a $200,000 race for fillies and mares at 6 1/2 furlongs on turf, but D’Amato said he doesn’t expect to run a horse in that race.
The field for the Monrovia is expected to include Constantia, the winner of the Mizdirection Stakes for fillies and mares at six furlongs on turf on April 17, and Nasty, the winner of the Lady of Shamrock Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at a mile on turf on Dec. 26.
