Wild Gams sets track record in Masters

Wild Gams, under jockey Miguel Mena, drew clear late to win the $400,000 Presque Isle Masters at Presque Isle Downs in track record time on Saturday evening. Trained by Ben Perkins Jr., Wild Gams came flying to wear down the leaders in the field of nine and won by a half length to set a new track record for the six furlong distance at Presque Isle in 1.07.95. Former track record holder and favorite Miss Macy Sue was second and Dream Rush was third, some four lengths back. Wild Gams returned $8.40 to win and was the first part of a $29.40 exacta.
