Wilburnmoney likely to have few rivals in Cicada

OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Believe it or not, the inner-track meet comes to an end next weekend, highlighted by the $100,000 Cicada Stakes for 3-year-old fillies on Saturday.
Wilburnmoney, the 20-1 upset winner of the Franklin Square Stakes for New York-breds, is expected to start in the six-furlong race.
“She ran a fast number on the sheets, and usually you got to give them a little more time, but she’s doing great,” trainer Gary Gullo said. “I don’t think it’s a crazy-tough race.”
According to New York Racing Association stakes coordinator Andrew Byrnes, a field of five is expected for the Cicada. Joining Wilburnmoney will be Bluegrass Flag, second to Wilburnmoney in the Franklin Square, Heavenly Score, Sounds Delicious, and Tiz Rae Anna.
Tiz Rae Anna on Friday worked a half-mile in 48.55 seconds over the Belmont training track. Bluegrass Flag worked a half-mile in 49.25 at Belmont.
