Wilbo, Share the Upside to meet in Aristides

Wilbo wins a May 11 allowance
Coady Photography Wilbo is a top contender in the Aristides Stakes on Saturday at Churchill.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A well-matched 31st running of the Grade 3, $125,000 Aristides will anchor the first of two Downs After Dark cards in June. Wilbo and Share the Upside are among the top contenders in the six-furlong race, which goes as the 10th of 11 Saturday races. First post is 6 p.m. Eastern, with the Aristides set for 10:42 and the last race for 11:10.

This is the Aristides field: Mr. Crow, Control Stake, Share the Upside, Zipp On By, Petrov, Wilbo, and Kowboy Karma.

One race earlier, Bobby’s Wicked One, a two-back winner of the Commonwealth at Keeneland, will be switching surfaces when going five furlongs on the turf in the $120,000 Mighty Beau (race 9). Morticia is one of 10 entrants, although trainer Rusty Arnold said she will be scratched in case an allowance race for Sunday fills.

The other Downs After Dark card is set for June 15, when the Stephen Foster will be one of five graded stakes.
