Whobegotyou can put his 4-for-4 record at Moonee Valley to good advantage on Saturday in the $2.75 million Cox Plate, a 1 1/4-mile, 44-yard, Group 1 stakes that serves as the last major prep for the two-mile Melbourne Cup on Nov. 3. Trained by Mark Kavanagh, Whobegotyou is coming off a victory in the 1 1/4-mile, Group 1 Yalumba Stakes at Caulfield on Oct. 10, when he beat his Cox Plate rival Heart of Dreams by three-quarters of a length. Vision and Power, who was third that day, also tries Whobegotyou again. Speed Gifted won the 1 1/2-mile, Group 1 Metropolitan Stakes at Randwick in his second Australian start since arriving from England. Zipping, second in last year's Cox Plate, since then has won the 1 1/2-mile, Group 2 Sandown Classic for the second time. He will offer a stern challenge, but 2007 Cox Plate winner El Segundo has been off form of late.
