White Carnation: Board Elligible rallies

Board Elligible returned to the dirt and returned to form, rallying from last to win the $70,950 White Carnation Stakes by 1 1/4 lengths. Princess Dixie finished second, completing an all New York-bred exacta that returned $192.50. Saintly Action, the 2-1 favorite, finished third.

Board Elligible ($30) took advantage of a hot pace - Chase Gap and Cherokee Lite dueled through a half-mile in 45.64 seconds - as she rallied five wide in the stretch and rocketed past the leaders in midstretch under Javier Castellano. Board Eligible, trained by James Ferraro, covered the 1 1/16 miles in 1:42.08.
