Westminister Road in top form coming into turf sprint
Lauren King/Coglianese Photos Westminister Road will start on Saturday in a 7 1/2-furlong turf sprint at Gulfstream Park.
HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Westminister Road and Susie Bee, first and third in an overnight handicap for 3-year-old fillies on June 13 at Gulfstream Park, will meet again under similar conditions going 7 1/2 furlongs on turf in Saturday’s main event.
Westminister Road, a daughter of Quality Road trained by Marty Wolfson, is in peak form, having won two in a row, while the lightly raced Susie Bee continues to improve with experience, having had only two starts prior to making her stakes debut last month.
The remainder of the field is Kentucky invader Urtheoneeyelove, Katie’s Kiss, Princess Fiona, Afleet Mary, Holywell, L. A. Style, and Nevelee.
