Moment Is Right gets around.

The winner of last year’s Astoria Stakes at Belmont Park who made her most recent start at Del Mar will test the waters in New Mexico on Saturday in the $50,000 Aspen Cup at Ruidoso Downs.

The Aspen Cup, for 3-year-old fillies at six furlongs, will share a card with the Grade 3, $50,000 Mr Jet Moore for Quarter Horses. The races are part of “Pink Day” at Ruidoso, where the track will raise breast-cancer awareness and donate to Altrusa’s Cancer Fund.

Moment Is Right leads a six-horse field. Others set to start include Zenita, a seven-length winner of an optional $15,000 claiming race June 27 at The Downs at Albuquerque.
