War Front's stud fee remains $250,000 for 2019
International sire War Front's stud fee will remain at $250,000 at Claiborne Farm for 2019, which will keep him among the most expensive stallions in North America.
War Front is the sire of Grade 1/Group 1 winners Fog of War, Homesman, Lancaster Bomber, and U S Navy Flag in 2018. He led the Keeneland September yearling sale by average price, checking in at $782,500, with five seven-figure yearlings sold.
War Front and Darley's Medaglia d'Oro both stood for $250,000 in 2018, and are likely to be the most expensive stallions on the continent for 2019. Gainesway's Tapit, who stood for $300,000 from 2015 to 2018, will stand for $225,000 in 2019.
A fee for Breeders' Cup Classic winner Blame, the sire of Grade 1 winners Fault and Marley's Freedom this season, will be announced following the Breeders' Cup. Claiborne's roster is rounded out by Flatter at $40,000, Mastery and Runhappy at $25,000, First Samurai at $15,000, Orb at $12,500, Lea and Trappe Shot at $7,500, Algorithms and Ironicus at $5,000, and Data Link at $2,500.
