Walk In The Snow takes Arcadia

Bossier City, La - Rallying strongly from off the pace, Ginger A. Taylor's Walk In The Snow kicked down favored Hail The Bag to win Saturday's Arcadia Stakes by a neck. Longshot Won Better overcame traffic problems early in theturn and also turned in a late charge to annex the show.

Bumped soundly at the start, Guy Smith settled Walk In The Snow ($5.60) well off the pace before beginning his advance from between rivals exiting the turn. The winner finished with a flourish to close a sizeable late gap in a final time of 1:10.62 for the six furlongs over a fast track.

Trained by Herman Taylor, Walk In The Snow won for the fourth time in nine career outs. All of his victories have come here, including a five length score in the Pelican State Stakes here as a juvenile last November.

Saturday's winner's share of $26,400 pushed the son of In a Walk career bankroll over the $110,000 mark.
