Vyjack working toward return

Vyjack, the multiple graded stakes-winning gelding, has had two workouts at the Fair Hill Training Center in Maryland and could return to the races in March or April, trainer Rudy Rodriguez said.
Rodriguez mentioned the $100,000 Stymie on March 22 as a possible spot.
“He’s working very good at Fair Hill. We’re going to try and point him to the Stymie,” Rodriguez said. “He’s working very good. They showed me everything that he’s done over there.”
Rodriguez had a video of the stretch run of Vyjack’s most recent workout, in which he worked in 49 seconds over the all-weather surface. That was his second work of the year.
Vyjack won the Grade 2 Kelso at a one-turn mile last fall at Belmont and ended his 4-year-old season with a second-place finish to Micromanage in the $100,000 Queens County, a 1 1/8 mile race Dec. 13.
