'Victress' streak at three

Swifty Victress extended her win streak to three at Evangeline Downs as she outdueled even-money favorite Iknowuthinkimsexy to win the filly division of the John Franks Memorial Sales Stakes. Longshot Sefapiano finished third, followed by Do the Tiger.

Trained by Anthony Agilar for A. Philip Henderson, Swifty Victress ($5.40) validated her victory in last month's 'Shine' Young Futurity, when she also defeated Steve Asmussen trained Iknowuthinkimsexy and fellow Asmussen charge Hisse. The winner, a modest $4,200 purchase in this past spring's Evangeline 2-year-olds in training sale, was ridden by Sylvester Carmouche and won by 3 1/4 lengths. She covered the 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:07.16 over a fast strip. The $60,000 winner's share increased the daughter of Macho Uno's career bankroll to more than $153,000.
