Matt Kakaley drove Odds On Enigma and Odds On Monetary - owned by Dana Parham's Odds On Racing - to victories in Thursday evening's two New York Sire Stakes races for 2-year-old pacing fillies at Vernon Downs.

In the first $55,500 test, Miss Genie Mae (Tyler Buter) cut the quarter in 28 seconds and then yielded to sit in the pocket behind favorite Savage Cindy (Jason Bartlett) after the 56 3/5 half. Meanwhile, Kakaley and Odds On Enigma tracked All Star Lady (Yannick Gingras) from second-over before they went three-wide nearing the 1:25 2/5 three-quarters.

Miss Genie Mae tipped back out in the lane and was able to rally past Savage Cindy, but Odds On Enigma was able to get by the pair of them as her 28 2/5 last quarter propelled her to victory by a neck in 1:54 2/5. Miss Genie Mae had to settle for second and Savage Cindy faded to third.

Scott Di Domenico trains Odds On Enigma, a daughter of Huntsville bred by Steve Jones and Fair Winds Farm. Odds On Enigma, who paid $14.60 to win, was a winner in her pari-mutuel debut after she was victorious in both of her baby races at Harrah's Philadelphia in June.

Odds On Monetary and Kakaley showed speed from post six in the second $56,500 division and wrestled the top spot away from Bellbottom Country (Mark MacDonald) passing the 26 3/5 quarter-mile point. From there, Kakaley backed down the tempo to 56 4/5 for the half and 1:26 2/5 for three-quarters, then sprinted home in 28 4/5 to win by a length over a rallying Party Pumps (Braxten Boyd) in 1:55 1/5. American Cheese (Scott Zeron) was up for third.

Another Huntsville filly, Odds On Monetary, who was bred by Crawford Farms, is trained by Travis Alexander. Odds On Monetary, who returned $20.40 to win, tallied in her first career outing after she was second and won in two qualifiers at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania last month.
