Valiant Tiberias wins Refrigerator Stakes as Eysa Jess Jumpn's win streak ends
RACE REPLAY IS NOT AVAILABLEValiant Tiberias was a head winner over favorite Dexxter in the Grade 1, $200,000 Refrigerator Stakes on Sunday night at Lone Star Park. Eysa Jess Jumpn finished ninth in his attempt at a 12th consecutive win.
The race was the meet’s main race for 3-year-olds and up.

Valiant Tiberias ($8.40) broke next to last and rallied from sixth place early in the race, while covering 440 yards on a fast track in 21.43 seconds. Victor Urieta was aboard for trainer Alonso Neri.
Eysa Jess Jumpn was bumped early on in the race, which marked her first defeat since the fall of 2018. She also was going for millionaire status on Sunday.
The record for a win streak among Quarter Horses is 18, set in August by the 9-year-old Free Thought, according to a representative of the American Quarter Horse Association. The prior record was 15, held by Snowbound Superstar.
Eysa Jess Jumpn’s win streak had dated back to Dec. 8, 2018, when she won the Grade 2 Louisiana Champions Day Juvenile at Fair Grounds.
