Valenzuela fined in New York

The New York State Racing and Wagering Board announced Monday that jockey Patrick Valenzuela had been fined $250 for failing to disclose a previous arrest when he applied for and received a license to ride in New York in 2002. Valenzuela rode Crafty C.T. to a third-place finish in the 2002 Cigar Mile.

According to a board spokesperson, Stacy Clifford, the arrest took place in 2002 in Southern California.
