United will be back next year at 7

ARCADIA, Calif. – United, the veteran Grade 2 winner scratched from the Breeders’ Cup Turf at Del Mar due to a suspensory injury, will return to campaign next year at age 7, trainer Richard Mandella said this week at Santa Anita.
“He injured a suspensory, but he didn’t tear it, he just strained it,” Mandella said. “He’ll get a couple months off, and we’ll start him back, but he’ll be back.”

Owned by LNJ Foxwoods, United has won 10 races and $1,813,549 from 22 career starts, including his most recent start on Oct. 2 at Santa Anita in the Grade 2 John Henry Turf Championship.
