Unique Bella back to jogging at Del Mar

Emily Shields Unique Bella hasn't raced since winning the Santa Ysabel in March at Santa Anita.
DEL MAR, Calif. – Unique Bella, considered the leading 3-year-old filly in the country before going to the sidelines with shin problems, is back jogging at Del Mar preparing for a fall campaign.

Trained by Jerry Hollendorfer, Unique Bella has not raced since March 4, when she won the Santa Ysabel Stakes, beating Abel Tasman, who went on to win the Kentucky Oaks and Acorn Stakes.
Based on the timetable of her training, Unique Bella should be able to get in one prep race this fall – perhaps the L.A. Woman at Santa Anita – prior to the Breeders’ Cup, with the seven-furlong Filly and Mare Sprint Nov. 4 the likely target Breeders’ Cup weekend.
