Uncle Mo colt breezes fastest furlong at Fasig-Tipton Gulfstream sale preview

An Uncle Mo colt threw down the fastest furlong at Gulfstream Park as Fasig-Tipton hosted the under-tack preview for its Florida selected sale of 2-year-olds in training. The sale is set to take place Wednesday in Gulfstream's paddock.
The Uncle Mo colt worked his bullet furlong, the traditional breeze distance for these sales, in 9 3/5 seconds. From the consignment of Ciaran Dunne's Wavertree Stables, as agent, the colt is out of the winning Elusive Quality mare Brusquer, whose first foal is a winner.
Brusquer is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner and leading sire Tapit. She also is a half-sister to Home From Oz, dam of Grade 2-winning millionaire Madefromlucky; and to stakes-placed Overandabeauty, dam of stakes winner Noble and a Beauty. Champions Rubiano and Summer Bird also appear on the catalog page.
Two other juveniles worked a furlong in 9 4/5 seconds – a colt by Uncle Mo's Kentucky Derby-winning son Nyquist and a colt from the well-received first crop of City of Light.
From the smaller group of juveniles to work a quarter-mile, a filly from the first crop of Bolt d'Oro worked in 20 2/5 seconds. Bolt d'Oro made a strong start to this juvenile sales season, as he sired the two highest-priced horses for a freshman sire at the Ocala Breeders' Sales Co.'s March sale of 2-year-olds in training.
This filly, consigned by agent Tom McCrocklin, is out of the winning Not For Love mare Rich Love, dam of four winners for as many starters. The mare is a half-sister to stakes winners Concealed Identity and Peach of a Gal, and Grade 1 winner Bounding Basque appears on the catalog page.
