Unbridled Forever likely for Acorn

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Dallas Stewart said Unbridled Forever came out of her third-place finish in the Kentucky Oaks in good shape and likely will run next in the Grade 1, $750,000 Acorn Stakes on the huge June 7 Belmont Stakes undercard in New York.
“We just got outrun by Untapable, but I thought our filly ran big,” said Stewart.
Trainer Steve Asmussen said this week that the one-mile Acorn “has been mentioned” as a next start for Oaks winner Untapable, with the Grade 1 Mother Goose three weeks later the other return possibility.
Unbridled Forever was beaten 10 1/2 lengths in the Kentucky Oaks after finishing 9 1/2 lengths behind Untapable when third in the March 29 Fair Grounds Oaks.
“If Untapable’s in there, we’ll just have to take another run at her,” said Stewart.
◗ Trainer Ken McPeek said Rosalind, the fourth-place finisher in the Kentucky Oaks, probably will travel with some of his other horses to race in England this summer.
McPeek said he is looking to send Rosalind, Frac Daddy, Occasional View, and “three or four young horses” to race at Ascot or Epsom.
Meanwhile, Golden Ticket, second in the Alysheba Stakes on the Oaks undercard, goes next in the June 14 Stephen Foster Handicap, said McPeek.
