Type A Personality wins Green Carpet

CINCINNATI Type A Personality, under Julio Felix, won the $50,000 Green Carpet at River Downs.

Rank early, Type A Personality, trained by Eric Reed, settled on the backstretch before rallying four wide into the stretch. There was considerable bumping going on through the stretch, but Felix guided Type A Personality to a half-length win. The second-place finisher, Allsarott, was disqualified and placed fourth by the stewards for instigating the bumping. The 4-5 favorite, Marble Cliff, finished another half-length back in third, but was placed second by the stewards. Marble Cliff was gaining after the bumping incident. Cajun Prize was three-quarters of a length back in fourth, and was placed third.

Type A Personality returned $16.60 and ran the 1 1/16 miles over the firm turf course in 1:44.60.
