Two hit Del Mar pick six for $380K
DEL MAR, Calif. - The pick six paid $380,667 to two ticketholders at Del Mar on Wednesday on a program in which two favorites and the longest shot in a turf race were among the winners.
The day began with a pick-six carryover of $171,914 from Sunday. Bettors added $1,039,193 on Wednesday.
The winning tickets were purchased in Ontario, Canada, and Las Vegas, track officials said.
Consolation tickets with five winners paid $1,124.
The winners of Wednesday’s pick six races were Hog’s Hollow ($15.20), Perfect Set ($5.20), Majestic Presence ($7.80), Image of Joplin ($81), Merit Man ($7.20) and Watch It Buster ($13.60).
Hog’s Hollow was the fourth choice, while Perfect Set and Majestic Presence were favored. Image of Joplin was the longest shot in a field of nine, while Merit Man was the second choice in the Green Flash Handicap. Watch It Buster was the third choice in the eighth race.
Not all jackpot bets were won on Wednesday. There is a carryover of $35,811 in the 50-cent super high five for Thursday’s eighth race.
