Two fillies fastest at Texas preview

A pair of fillies by Officer and Be Like Mike topped the work tab Sunday at Fasig-Tipton's Texas 2-year-old auction under-tack show in Grand Prairie, Tex.

The workouts were at Lone Star Park in advance of the March 31 auction there.

Hip Nos. 43 and 103 had the fastest eighth-mile works in 10.20 seconds. Hip No. 43 is by Officer out of Taylor's Queen, and Hip No. 103 is by Be Like Mike out of Classy Me.

Two juveniles by Gold Legend also had the fastest quarter-mile works in 22 seconds flat. They were Hip No. 136, a gelding out of Enough Sal, and Hip No. 182, a filly out of Magic Cure.

Hip Nos. 40 and 137 posted the day's fastest three-eighths-mile work in 36.40 seconds. Hip No. 40 is a daughter of Skip to the Stone and Swoony Rallik. Hip No. 137 is a filly by Halory Hunter out of Excessivelysmittin.
