Grade 1 winner Two Emmys made his first start at Hawthorne Race Course since 2018 a memorable one Saturday when he powered to a three-length win over Captivating Moon in the $75,000 Outbound Ike. It was another length back in third to Betwithbothhands.   The Outbound Ike Stakes was held on the closing-day card. One race prior to the feature, Hawthorne recognized Jareth Loveberry as the meet’s leading rider and Larry Rivelli, its leading trainer, in a winner’s-circle presentation. The partnership of Scott Becker and Charles Ritter was announced as the meet’s leading owner.   Two Emmys ($4.20) was content to settle a few lengths off the pace set by Betwithbothhands, who took the field through fractions of 23.59 seconds for the opening quarter, 48.10 for the half-mile and 1:12.38 for six furlongs – over a course rated yielding. Two Emmys quickened on the final turn, came to the leader three wide, and went on to cover the 1 1/16 miles for 3-year-olds and up in 1:43.31.   :: Bet the races on DRF Bets! Marcelino Pedroza Jr. was aboard for the partnership of Wolfe Racing and Hugh Robertson.   Robertson also trains Two Emmys, and in October 2018 debuted the horse at Hawthorne. The start came on a maiden special weight at a mile on turf. Two Emmys finished sixth, but won his maiden one start later at Arlington Park and last year captured that track’s Grade 1 Mr. D.   This year, Two Emmys, who is now 6, added another graded stakes victory to his resume in the Grade 2 Mervin Muniz Memorial Classic at Fair Grounds.   Two Emmys is a son of English Channel. He has now won 6 of 22 starts and earned $815,083.
