Two-day carryover at Aqueduct

OZONE PARK, N.Y. - Favorites took a beating most of Wednesday at Aqueduct, resulting in a two-day pick-six carryover of $157,793 entering Thursday's card.

Odds-on favorites were beaten in the first three races and while they weren't part of the pick six sequence, it set a tone for the afternoon. There were only two winning favorites in the pick six, but a carryover was already assured by the time favored City in the Clouds ($9.50) won the nightcap.

There was a $46,720 carryover entering Wednesday's card. There were no winning tickets sold on Wednesday's combination of 9-6-7-3-8-9 which included Daddy Edie ($12.80), Precious Too ($5.40), Vain Vixen ($12), Too Drunk to Call ($13), So Smashley ($34.60) - who beat 3-5 shot Regal Playtime - and City in the Clouds ($9.50). There were 11 consolation tickets (5 of 6), each worth $3,365.

Four of the six races in Thursday's pick-six sequence are maiden claimers.
