Two-day, $276K carryover into Friday Belmont at the Big A card

OZONE PARK, N.Y. -- There will be a pick six carryover of $207,748 into Friday’s Belmont at Aqueduct card after the wager was not hit for a second straight day.
Thursday’s sequence began with a $71,284 carryover and there was $268,617 wagered into the pool. The sequence began with Masabeeh ($14.60), Scotty ($17.20), and After Five ($41.20), the latter the longest shot in a seven-horse field. Logical winners Curlin’s Wisdom ($5.10) and Mosienko ($4.20) won the next two legs, leaving live tickets to three horses -- The Sleepychipmunk, Sense a Giant, and Addicted to You -- entering the last race.
In the finale, Ableton, a 6-1 shot, held off Sense a Giant and Addicted to You to create the carryover. Before the last went official, the stewards declared Addicted to You a non-starter, as he was in the hands of the assistant starter. That reduced the odds on Ableton to 9-2 and he returned $11.20.

Friday’s pick six starts in race 4 (2:12 p.m. Eastern) and is scheduled to include four turf races. Dry conditions are expected, but the New York Racing Association did switch all of Wednesday’s turf races to the dirt following five straight days of rain.
